PC: Online Games and Lost Connection to Host - Clock Fix

We have been investigating cases where players receive different errors when trying to connect to an online game.


One approach to try is to check if your PC's clock is set to a different time (it may not be properly synced) - this may be a cause of some connection issues.  What you can look for is if your PC's clock appears to not be set to the correct current time (check a mobile phone or some other source to confirm!)  To investigate further: 

Right-click on your PC's clock in the lower corner of the screen, and select Adjust Time and Date:

   


Depending on your settings you may see something different, but we would advise you to exit the game fully first and try to re-sync your clock

  • Turn on and off "Set time automatically"

  • Hit the Sync Now button down below in the menu

  • Ensure that "Set time automatically" is set to On

  • Reboot your PC

  • Launch a fresh game and try again.
