Sometimes crashes, power outages, system malfunctions, and other unpredictable situations may lead to a loss of data, or data corruption.
This can happen with your world save, as well as with your character save, or even both. For this reason, at least for the moment, we have a backup system for world files in place.
In the same folder that stores your world and character files, the mentioned world backup files are stored as well.
To access this folder, please do the following:
1. Go to My Computer/This PC (you can search for it as well in your Windows Search box, or by pressing Windows Key on your keyboard)
2. Go to C:\Users\<Your PC Username>\AppData\Local\Moria\Saved\SaveGames
3. Once inside, the content of the folder should look like this:
File(s) starting with "MC_" represents your character save file(s). File(s) starting with "MW_" represents your world (if there's any) and world backup files. World backup files are all the "MW_" files that end with ".##.bak", with ".##" representing the number of a backup (.00 being the most recent), and ".bak" representing a file extension.
Before making any changes to these files, we suggest making a copy of this entire folder onto your desktop just in case, so you can always restore it. |
